NURS 4115 - Community Health Nursing

Description: Students learn theory and research relevant to nursing practice and public health practice to promote and preserve the health of populations. This course provides an opportunity to partner with a community and other health professionals to manage and provide resources. Requires a total of 64 field experience hours during the course.

Credit Hours: 5
Prerequisite: NURS 3003 Professional Nursing Role with a minimum grade of C or concurrent enrollment.
Restrictions: Admission to nursing major or instructor permission is required. Students must have completed the credentialing process, a preceptor agreement, and have an approved facility contract prior to enrolling in this course.
Note: Requires a total of 64 field experience hours over the semester.
