SOWK 4984 - Social Work Practicum I & Seminar

Description: Students learn to integrate theoretical concepts with an applied learning experience in an approved human services agency. Students complete a minimum of 220 hours in the agency, and concurrently attend a weekly seminar intended to integrate the knowledge, values and skills of generalist social work practice.
Credit Hours: 4
Prerequisite: SOWK 4013 Practice I.
Co-requisite: None
Restrictions: Completion of 88 hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA overall and in the social work core; proof of field practicum liability insurance; completion of application packet.
Note: Credit cannot be earned in both SOWK 4984 or 4994 and SOC 4993. Graded as Pass/Fail.
