Description: Students will master the underlying pathophysiology, clinical presentation, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and management of common diseases by an organ systems approach with a focus on the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are requisite for the successful clinician caring for patients across the lifespan. Clinical Medicine II is the second course in a series of three courses introducing the student to various conditions and disease states commonly evaluated in the practice of medicine. Topics will also include an understanding of the genetic and molecular mechanisms of health and disease.
