ACFN 5333 - Finance Seminar CIP Code: 307104 Description: Students perform financial analysis under conditions of uncertainty-a crucial skill for financial decision-making, applying quantitative methods and concepts. The course encompasses practical financial skills, including risk assessment, evaluating the tradeoff between risk and return, estimating cash flows, and utilizing capital budgeting techniques to assess investments. Students also develop a capital structure policy, evaluating factors such as a firm’s preference for debt and equity, dividend policy, and cost of capital. In addition, students examine financial management issues relevant to multinational corporations, including risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
