Pre-Medical for OU

 Return to: Programs
The Pre-Medical program is designed to meet the requirements for OU. A GPA of 3.0 or higher, average score of 7.0 or better on the MCAT, and a letter grade of C or better is required in prerequisite courses. A minimum of 90 college hours is also required.

Biology Elective Pick at least one of the following courses 4 hours
- Histology,
- Genetics,
- Embryology,
- Cell Biology, or
- Comparative Anatomy
3 semesters of: 9 hours
- Anthropology,
- Psychology,
- Sociology,
- Philosophy,
- Humanities, and
- Foreign Languages (any combination)
Notes
*3 semesters of English are required, it doesn’t have to be these classes but they must transfer. Contact OU or check the class transfer website at http://www.ah.ouhsc.edu/prereqs/.
Your total credit hours must equal 90. Liberal Arts and Science Courses
